Anne C. Bader has twenty five years experience as a
development professional and international consultant working
with governments, business, international and nongovernmental
(NGO) organizations.
A citizen of Canada and the United States, she has lived and
worked in North America, Europe and the former Soviet Union.
Her previous positions include Executive Vice President,
The Fund for Peace; Vice President of the Atlantic Council of
the United States; of Trinity College, Washington DC and of
Business Executives for National Security. She was
Senior Advisor to the Special Advisor to the Secretary General,
NATO and assisted him in establishing the Partnership for Peace NGO Network.
In addition to her consulting practice, she is a Senior Fellow
with The Fund for Peace in Washington DC and a Senior Associate
Fellow, Advanced Research Assessment Group, Defence Academy of
The United Kingdom. On November 16, 2005 the Secretary General,
NATO presented her with a certificate of appreciation in
recognition of contribution to the Partnership for Peace Trust Fund.
Mrs. Bader was named an honorary citizen of Hungary by its
first democratic government in October 1991 and received the
Ukraine Ministry of Defense civilian medal in March 2005.
She has edited and reported for publications in North America,
Europe and the former Soviet Union. Her memberships include the
National Press Club, the Association of Fundraising Professionals,
Women in International Security and the Board of the Hungarian
American Coalition. A graduate of Trinity College,
Washington, DC, she is married to the
Hon. Joseph F. Bader, the mother of three children,
one grandchild and a resident of the District of Columbia.
